Watch Matt Damon recap the entire Bourne franchise in 90 seconds

JASON BOURNE “Vroom vroom! Beep beep! I gotta get to Ben’s house!”

Jason Bourne reunites Damon with The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass in a film set 12 years after the events of the latter film. While his pursuers believe Bourne will come in for reconditioning if they deliver him what he most desires, the most elite weapon ever designed knows what his trackers can not grasp: even broken soldiers defend the innocent from those with unchecked power.

Jason Bourne is more on cyber terrorism. But, as ever, the story’s real meat lies in Jason Bourne’s restless quest to piece together his past.

Think you know Damon’s films? He spoke to Kate Rodger about what it took to come back to the Bourne fray, how lucky they were to get Oscar-winner Alicia Vikander on board for this sequel, and why Tommy Lee Jones is a national treasure.

Jason Bourne is out in United Kingdom cinemas now. Can you match the quote to his movie?

Even in 90 seconds it’s easy to lose yourself in all the twists and turns involving secret Central Intelligence Agency programs like Treadstone or Blackbriar, and it’s obvious that the main M.O. of these movies is to cast any semi-distinguished British or American actor to be the stuffed-shirt government stooge that has to be the scapegoat for what was done to Bourne to make his brain into scrambled eggs.

Continuing that theme is also the movie’s big action moments, which are fun, but also surprisingly few and far between.

Although this set-up feels familiar from previous Bourne movies, Greengrass still manages to build plenty of tension as a Central Intelligence Agency hitman (Vincent Cassel) tracks Bourne from Europe to Las Vegas, where he plans to confront Dewey.

Matt Damon made his debut as Jason Bourne in 2002’s The Bourne Identity, and his portrayal of the former black-ops agent went on to spawn a successful franchise of films that continues with this week’s Jason Bourne.

“I still had to keep going to the gym with horrifying regularity to stay in shape, so that was the challenge, along with the long work hours”, he said, adding: “I was in shape for way longer than someone my age should be”. Unlike the recent recap video we posted which accomplishes the same in about three minutes, this recap doesn’t bother to include the spin-off The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner.
