More rain ahead for midstate Tuesday

Rain Breakdown

As expected, we have scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across Alabama this afternoon…

We have a few small disturbances that will move through Central Illinois the next few days, keeping skies cloudy and brining light rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Clouds will stick around for Wednesday, with consistent high temperatures again in the lower to mid 60s. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy and we could still see a few isolated sprinkles – but nothing serious. It will be dry 80 percent of the daytime Tuesday and then it will be dry 95 percent of Wednesday. It will be another warm day with highs in the mid-80s for most areas and upper-70s at the beach. We drop down into the mid 40s early Friday morning; some of the traditionally colder spots might even reach the upper 30s at daybreak Friday. Partly cloudy overnight with a low around 48. The Sierra will see rain sooner -thunderstorms are possible over the mountains starting Sunday.

Winds up to 40 miles per hour and frequent cloud-to-ground lightning is possible, along with heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58.

“The weather pattern is looking rather unsettled with shower chances just about every day this week”, he said.

Friday Night…Clear. Lows around 60.

Winds will pick up out of the southwest at 10-20mph with gusts to 25mph.
