David Letterman Honored With Twain Award For American Comedy

David Letterman, a longest-running late-night horde in radio — who gave us Stupid Pet Tricks, a Top-Ten List and Larry “Bud” Melman — perceived a Mark Twain Prize for American Humor during a Kennedy Center for a Perfoming Arts Sunday night.

Letterman, who has been vicious of President Trump in new months, finished a night with a quote from Mark Twain: “Patriotism is ancillary your nation all a time, and your supervision when it deserves it.”
